Love Poems – Dominik-János Kendi

The Colors That Break
The colors of life aren’t always so kind,
Some brighten your soul; others shatter your mind.
A blush of first love, so tender, so true,
Can fade into gray when it slips out of view.
The gold of achievement, the thrill of a win,
Can crumble to ash when doubt sweeps in.
The red of passion, so fierce and so wild,
Can burn you to ashes, or heal you like a child.
The blue of sadness, so heavy, so deep,
Can bring you to tears or rock you to sleep.
Green with envy, or green with growth,
A shade that can twist or strengthen you both.
But oh, how beauty can make you cry too,
A sunset so stunning, a sky so blue.
The laughter of children, the warmth of their hand,
The colors of love you can’t always understand.
Life’s palette is messy, cruel, one sided,
It paints you with joy and heartbreak combined.
So let your tears fall, for sorrow or grace,
Each drop holds a color that time won’t erase.
Echoes of Yesterday
In a silent hall where shadows lie,
Moonlight shines, away from the sky.
A distant glimpse, a far-off call,
The past and a future split by a wall.
The colors have faded, the memories are new,
Lies live if they were ever true.
A world that was, a life once whole,
Mistakes that spun out of control.
The time goes by as the river flows,
Lives that haven’t even glowed.
Nightmares haunt the silent hall,
Where even the smallest shadows crawl.
Her
Her eyes are like shiny brown gems,
She’s my clever queen of Athens.
With her love she gives me strength,
I’ll defend her even if it means death.
Her heart is really kind and pure,
She heals my sorrow, gentle and true.
I want to hug her every night,
I want to keep her really tight.
So beautifully she sings,
Peace that to my heart she brings
I want to love her till the end of my life,
For her, I’d fight through storm and knife.
